Landfill

The transfer station accepts old appliances, discarded furniture, scrap metal and yard debris. When you arrive, stop at the scale house so the attendant can direct you to the right area for what you are discarding.

Tires are accepted for a fee: $2.10 per passenger vehicle tire and $8.40 per over-the-road or tractor tire.

Recycling bins are located at Early County Middle School on Columbia Street and in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot on North Main Street.

Caution. Use extreme care in the landfill area and watch for heavy equipment. Never stop or park behind equipment; the operator may not be able to see your vehicle.
